[CHINA / FRANCE] The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of the Netherlands filed China’s instrument of accession to the Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation of Foreign Public Documents on 8 March 2023. This convention aims to eliminate the conventional requirement for legalisation by replacing that procedure, often lengthy and expensive, with the issue of a single apostille certificate by a competent authority of the place of origin of the document. It will come into force for China on 7 November 2023.
